Comfort Designed Furniture and Consignment, Washington City's best kept secret, on 214 E Telegraph St. Looks like maybe a little craft store; but, once inside the store just keeps on going. Ask those who have shopped there and they say: "Wow, I never saw so much fine quality, all real wood;" "Looks so small from the outside and big inside;" "So much to chose from;" "Best quality in town;" "Nothing quite like the place;" "Handcrafted, unique pieces and priced so low;" "Never expected to find anything like it in St. George."
Why are all these people so impressed with this little "Big" store? Well, you just have to go by and see this for yourself.
You'll find top grade sofas, a large selection of entertainment centers, dining rooms, bedrooms, bookcases, office desks, baby furniture, mattresses, benches and so much more! You'll find that "unique piece" you've been looking for, that no one else has. About 70% is unfinished. Right there, you choose the color and they finish it your way! You can watch as it's being done, if you choose. All hand rubbed and sprayed better than a factory finish, because, as they say, "we write our name in each piece we finish." So much pride in workmanship.
Customer service is a must, as is quality. Everything is 100% real wood – no hidden parts of particle board.
Country Comforts Furniture has Southwest, Contemporary and Traditional styles, something for everyone. Because so much is unfinished, you can let your imagination go wild with the possibilities. There is so much to choose from and if it's not in stock there are so many catalogs to order out of. They will take time with you and help you order ahead and know your furniture will be finished and waiting when you are ready! No stress – you can relax as you shop, no pushy salespeople, no commissions. You have people working for you, doing it your way, when you want it. It's not a fancy showroom, not a high overhead place, but if you're looking for real wood, unique quality, handmade – mostly in the USA, service, dependability, finished your way, you've got it all in the little "big" store. Once you try it, you won't want to go anywhere else. See why so many people are hauling and shipping to so many surrounding states. All in Washington, of course! Where all the "Big" things are happening.

Your furniture could be making you sick and you don't even know it. Headaches and just an over-all "I don't know what it is, but I don't feel well."
You see, particle board furniture looks good. It is made to look beautiful to sell it. However, it is made with all kinds of toxins, like lead, arsenic, formaldehyde, glue and other chemicals. It's covered over with a laminate, much like a plastic onion skin with a picture of a wood grain. They laugh and call it "Glit"… first 2 letters of glue or glitter and the last 2 letters of another 4 letter word. There is no thought of your health, it's about huge profit; usually made in China.
Today, people who have never smoked walk around with oxygen tanks from the chemicals in furniture. It used to be they even made it with asbestos. Have you ever been in a travel trailer, years ago, when you walked in, in the heat of the summer, it burned your eyes and throat? That's particle board. Heavy and cheap to make. (The newer travel trailers have gotten better!)
